Growing abilitiesA caring community for adults with intellectual disabilities—supporting each person to live with purpose, dignity, and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Welcome to Camphill Village West Coast
A vibrant community of 150 people, where adults with intellectual disabilities live and work together in a peaceful farm setting.
Since 1964, we have nurtured an inclusive way of life rooted in dignity, meaningful work, and connection to the land. It’s a place where people are supported to grow, contribute, and truly belong.
Our Work and Enterprises
What began as therapeutic activities has grown into thriving enterprises—our bakery, dairy, natural cosmetics workshop, and farm. Here, meaningful work isn’t just something we do—it’s part of who we are. Every role matters, and every contribution counts.

Our Farm
Organic Farming – Over 30 Years
For more than three decades, we have practised sustainable, organic farming—working with nature, not against it. Our herd of Jersey cows grazes on pasture year-round, producing milk processed right here in our dairy.
Gardens that Give Back
Our organic gardens grow a wide variety of vegetables and herbs—feeding our homes, supplying our workshops, and reaching selected retailers in Cape Town. It’s good food, grown simply and with care.
From Our Farm to You
Beyond dairy and vegetables, we cultivate and produce Jojoba oil, in our 8H plantation for natural cosmetics, harvest fruit, and supply firewood.
Residents are actively involved in every step—planting, tending, harvesting—sharing in the rhythm and satisfaction of farm life.
Pamper your body and mind whilst making sure that you are taking care of the environment and your health.

Camphill Monthly Market
Find Out MoreFirst Sunday of every month (except January), 10am to 3pm
Our monthly market is a favourite – nominated Best Market by KFM for four years in a row. Set among shady trees and beautiful gardens, it offers the public a relaxed day out with good food, handmade crafts, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere—where everyone feels at home. Visiting stallholders and Camphill residents set up food and craft stalls, a beer garden with live music and tractor tours of the farm.
